Deep Sea Fishing
Bentota, Negombo, Trincomalee and Mirissa are among the locations where deep-sea fishing is possible. You can use a boat to explore the deeper ocean and look for unique fish species thanks to this. November through April is ideal for the South and May through September is ideal for the East.
Hiking
Explore Sri Lanka’s various locations during the dry season which runs from April to September. The most popular tourist destinations are the Sinharaja Rainforest, Ella Rock, Horton Plains National Park, Adam’s Peak and the Knuckles Mountain Range.
Wildlife Safaris
December through April is the ideal time to visit national parks in wet zones and February through October is the best time to visit national parks in dry zones. Minneriya National Park and other well-known parks like Wilpattu National Park, Udawalawe National Park and Yala National Park are among the wildlife safaris that are available in Sri Lanka.
Snorkelling or Scuba Diving
Pigeon Island, Hikkaduwa and Unawatuna are the top three places in Sri Lanka for amazing underwater adventures. While the Southwest beaches are still ideal from November to April the East Coast beaches are best for touring from May to September.

Throughout the year zip-lining is the most exhilarating way to take in Sri Lanka's wonders. Kitulgala Forest Reserve and Ella Adventure Park offer this activity.
Hot Air Ballooning
From November through April, hot air balloon rides over forest canopies are possible as the winds are calm. If you are in Sri Lanka you should visit these magical places in Sigiriya and Dambulla.
White Water Rafting
Kitulgala offers the best whitewater rafting rapids. From May to December you can go on a long exhilarating hike along monsoon-fed rivers down the Kelani River.
Cycling
During the dry season which runs from December to March put on your helmet and ride your bike through the cities of Ella, Nuwara Eliya and Sigiriya. The cultural triangle as well as other locations like Galle Fort.
